Car Seat Safety Standard for Infants
All 50 states require the use of a car seat that meets today’s Federal Government standards. For infants under the age of one a rear-facing seat should be installed in the back seat. Never use infant or toddler car seat in location with a frontal airbag.
Be sure to use car seat/booster seat appropriate for child’s weight and height. Always install car seat/booster seat and anchor it according to manufacturers instructions.
